Sumter Little Theatre holding auditions Sunday for Cyrano

Sumter Little Theatre will hold auditions Sunday, Jan. 22, for their upcoming production of Cyrano.

Part of their youth theatre productions for the 2016-17 season, the theatre is looking for males and females between the ages of 16 and 21 to cast in roles for the production based on Edmond Rostand’s classic play, Cyrano de Bergerac.

The play that brought the word panache into the English language tells the story of a strong-willed man known for his speedy rapier, witty rapportage, and large nose.

Auditions will be held in the SLT classroom from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.  Eric Bultman, executive director of Sumter Little Theatre, will be directing the show as well.  Those attending auditions should be prepared to do cold readings from the script.

Performances of Cyrano will run March 23-26 and March 30-April 2.

Sumter Little Theatre is located at 14 Mood Avenue in the Sumter County Cultural Center.  For more information on auditions, contact the theatre at (803) 775-2150.  For more details on upcoming shows, visit SLT’s website at
