The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Boys and Girls Youth, Incorporated has scheduled its first fundraising banquet for Friday, March 31, at 7 p.m.
This event will be held at The Imperial Restaurant, located at 451 Broad St. in Sumter. Local state Rep. David Weeks will be the keynote speaker for the evening.
All proceeds will go toward the Sheriff’s Office Boys to Men and Girls to Women Youth Conferences, for which this year’s theme is Above and Beyond Expectations.
These overnight youth conferences are aimed at building character and leadership skills among boys and girls ages 10 to 18, and often include such topic as positive and negative effects of social media, drug prevention, healthy relationships and information technology skills.
Tickets for the upcoming banquet are available at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office for a donation of $25 per person. VIP sponsorships – which include a table for eight at the banquet, acknowledgement at the banquet, and promotion in the Youth Conference album and/or at the conferences themselves – are also available with a $250 donation.
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Boys and Girls Youth, Incorporated is a non-profit organization, and donations are tax deductible.
