CCTC employees honored at SCTEA conference

Three Central Carolina Technical College employees have been honored for their efforts during the 2016-17 school year with Educator of the Year awards.

Myles Williams, dean of general education was honored as Administrator of the Year; Deborah Seymour, freshman seminar coordinator with the local college was named Teacher of the Year; while Martha McMahon, accounting technician, was named Staff member of the Year.  Each one of the three CCTC award winners received a plaque and $100 during a luncheon this past weekend at the annual South Carolina Technical Education Association conference, held in Myrtle Beach.

Central Carolina Technical College is a public, two-year institution with its main campus in Sumter, but with satellite campuses in Clarendon, Kershaw and Lee Counties to better serve the students of the four-county region.  According to the school’s website, more than 8,500 students are enrolled in a variety of associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs and non-credit continuing education activities with the institution.
